geo-location ability

I'd like the ability to restrict auctions by geo-location like zip code, such as you can do within EPN or using a Wordpress plugin like BayRSS or PHPBay.

Are you in the US? If so try

Are you in the US? If so try this:

in index.php about line 437 you should see this line:

$url = 'http://rss.api.ebay.com/ws/rssapi?FeedName=SearchResults&siteId='.GEO_SITE_ID.'&language='.GEO_LANGUAGE.'&output=RSS20&sacur=0&from=R6&sacqyop=ge&saslc=0&floc=1&saprclo=&saprchi=&fcl=3&nojspr=y&afmp=&saslop=1&fss=0&';

Change it to this:
$url = 'http://rss.api.ebay.com/ws/rssapi?FeedName=SearchResults&siteId='.GEO_SITE_ID.'&language='.GEO_LANGUAGE.'&output=RSS20&sacur=0&from=R6&sacqyop=ge&saslc=0&floc=1&saprclo=&saprchi=&fcl=3&nojspr=y&afmp=&saslop=1&fss=0&fsct=XXXX&sadis=YYY&';

Change XXXX to the code of the city you want to geo-target (there is a list of the popular ones below
Change YYY to the distance from that city you want to include in the search.

How I worked this out is that EASy uses the RSS search, so generate a RSS feed for a search with no custom settings...then do another one for a search with the custom setting you want to use, copy/paste both RSS feed URLs into notepad and look for the differences.

To get a list of the cities I looked at the source of the search form and copy/pasted the values used in the drop down menu

How to generate a RSS search:
* Go to the Advanced Search page. Enter the search criteria for your RSS feed.
* Enter the search criteria for your RSS feed.
* Enter your eBay Partner Network tracking information at the bottom of the page by clicking "show" next to Affiliate Tracking Information. Choose eBay Partner Network as your provider, enter your Campaign ID and click Search.
* Scroll to the bottom of the search results page displayed and click on the orange RSS logo.
* Select the URL of the XML page from your browser and use your RSS reader to subscribe to the feed.

Let us know how you get on.
