Changes to RSS 10-Feb-10 gives "This listing (1) has been removed" error

Folks have posted that there has been some (more) changes to the eBay RSS buy links. Details (thanks Web Automation Lab & weezee for posting).

These changes seem to break the default install of EASy (the demo site here is non-working).

But the code I posted here seems to work around the problem.
