changed categories in default.php and get error message on site

Hi,

I changed the categories in the default.php file and uploaded it. the site then displayed this error (eI'm not showing the exact server path)

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/...../index.php on line 159

and nothing at all is showing in the category pages.

Any clues? How do we change categories to display if I did this wrong?
